Fu Hok Kuen Instructors


 

Si Fu Jacek Świątkowski has been involved in Martial Arts for over twenty years. He was one of the precursors of Kung Fu in Poland. He began Kung Fu training in 1979 at the school operated by Krzysztof Łoziński and Vietnamese Hai Nam. As of 1982 he began to individually conduct classes in one of the training groups at the Ognisko TKKF Błyskawica /Sports Center/. He was a founding member of many organizations of Chinese martial arts, which were created in those times, including the Polish Kung Fu Wu Shu Association. He was an active member of the Board of Directors of the Polish Kung Fu Wu Shu Association for many years, and also served as the coach of the National Team. Currently he is President of the Polish Hung Gar Kung Fu Association and Secretary General of the Polish Union of Far-Eastern Martial Arts. He participated as competitor in the 1988 World Championship in Shenzhen (China) and the European Championship in 1989 in Chieti (Italy).

During the World Championship in Shenzhen he met Si Fu Lam Chuen Ping and was invited by the latter for training internship to his school in Barcelona. Later he visited Lam Chuen Ping’s school many times for such training, spending there even several months in a year , perfecting his skills in many systems practiced there, including Choy Lee Fut, Pak Mei, Xing Yi, Pak Siu Lum (Bei Shaolin), Shuai Jiao and San Da.  As the only person in Poland he possesses a Master’s style degree in Hung Gar Kung Fu granted by Si Fu Lam Chuen Ping in the Chow Wing Tak Association. Aside from this, he also possesses a Trainer’s degree granted by the Spanish Wu Shu Federation, and a Master’s degree of the Polish Kung Fu Wu Shu Association. As one of few he mastered two main lineages of Hung Gar Kung Fu in versions of Tang Fung and Lam Sai Wing, along with the Tit Shi Kuen Form (Iron Thread) being the crowning of the system. He learned the Lam Sai Wing’s lineages under tutorship of Si Fu Lam Chuen Ping, and the Lam Sai Wing's version directly from Si Gun Chiu Wai.

Beside activity in the scope of Chinese martial arts, he also a keen diver. He also possesses an instructor’s degree (Dive Control Specialist) in that field within the SSI (Scuba Schools International) organization.

In 2004, Jacek Świątkowski participated in the Hung Gar Kung Fu World Championships and won a gold medal in the short forms event and a silver medal in the advanced forms event.

 


 


 

Zbigniew Błaszczak, born on July 08, 1972. Graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology, Construction Department in Płock. He began training Hung Gar Kung Fu in 1992, when a subsidiary of the Fu Hok Kuen School was established in Płock. He received a master’s degree in 2000 from Si Fu Jacek Świątkowski. He possesses a license of recreation instructor of Kung Fu specialty.

He participated as competitor in the Polish Championships in the free combat competition in the 70 kg category, where he placed 3rd; As of 1999 he has conducted Kung Fu classes at the Płock Fu Hok Kuen section under the patronage of Si Fu Jacek Świątkowski. Currently he is Vice President of the Polish Hung Gar Kung Fu Association.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 


 

Konrad Popławski, graduate of the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw with the specialty Physical Education and Rehabilitation. He has been into martial arts for over ten years. One of few persons familiar with both lineages of the Hung Gar tradition. Many-times Polish Championships medalist both in Forms and Free Combat. Many times on the Polish national team for competitions of the rank of World and European Championships. In 2000 he received a degree of Master of Hung Gar Kung Fu from Si Fu Jacek Świątkowski.

Currently he is Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Polish Hung Gar Kung Fu Association. He possesses a license of sports instructor in gymnastics, body-building, weight-lifting, swimming and a license of recreation instructor of kung fu specialty, and also that of instructor of B Combat Kalaki.

Aside from Kung Fu, he practiced boxing, wrestling, judo, Combat Kalaki Arcanis (I DAN), Brazilian Ju Jitsu and Thai Boxing.

  • European Wu Shu Championship Rome 1997 – European Vice Champion in Free Combat cat. 85 kg.

Dariusz Sieńko, born in 1976. Graduate of the Higher School of Enterprise and Management as well as Warsaw University faculty of Archeology. Assistant at Fu Hok Kuen School for over the years. He began training Hung Gar Kung Fu in TKKF "Błyskawica" in 1988. He was in Ireland for one year during 1999-2000, where he joined the Irish Shaolin Wushu Association. Currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Polish Hung Gar Kung Fu Association.  In 2002-2003 he was the manager of Polish Hung Gar Association's representation at the traditional Kung Fu Word Championship in Perugia. He was a coach of the beginners group in Warsaw. He received the Master of Hung Gar Kung Fu degree in 2005 from Si Fu Jacek Świątkowski. At the end of 2005 he moved to Australia.

 

 

 

 


 


 

Tomasz Smoliński, graduate of the Polish – Japanese Institute of Information Technology in Warsaw. He began his Hung Gar Kung Fu training at Fu Hok Kuen in 1992. Participated in many Kung Fu / Wu Shu tournaments in Poland and abroad. Instructor of Hung Gar since 1996. Until May of 2000, he taught classes at the beginners’ level laying the foundation for today’s Fu Hok Kuen intermediate groups. He moved to the United States in 2000 to devote himself to scientific work. In 2004, obtained a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in computer science and engineering from the University of Louisville, Kentucky. Currently, he lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where he continuously practices Hung Gar. During his trip to Poland in 2006, he was officially awarded the Master of Hung Gar Kung Fu degree by Si Fu Jacek Świątkowski. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 


 

Anna Błaszczak, born on February 07, 1970. Graduate of Lodz University, Department of History and Philosophy, with concentration in Anthropology of Culture. Has been practicing martial arts since 1993. An active participant in tournaments, specializing in traditional empty-hand and weapon forms. She has won numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals at championships at the national, European, and World level. Among her greatest achievements are several gold medals won at the Polish Kung Fu / Wu Shu Championships as well as two gold medals and one silver medal won at the Hung Gar Kung Fu World Championships that took place in Warsaw, Poland, in July of 2004.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Polish Hung Gar Kung Fu Association, and since May of 2004, she has been a secretary at the Uczniowski Klub Sportowy /Students’ Sports Club/ Fu Hok Kuen Płock. Since November of 2004, she has been fully in charge of Kung Fu classes taught to female students at Fu Hok Kuen Płock

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 


 

Jan Groszyk, born on June 24, 1974. Student of Higher School of Applied Computer Science and Management, at the Polish Academy of Sciences. He has practiced martial arts since 1987. At first Karate in the Kyokushin style, and then as of 1989 continually Hung Gar Kuen under instruction of Si Fu Jacek Świątkowski. He participated, as one of the first disciples, in the creation of the Fu Hok Kuen School. From 1997 Hung Gar instructor. He participated as assistant to Sifu Jacek Świątkowski in the creation of the Fu Hok Kuen section in Płock. He conducted his first own group in 1995. In 1997 he concluded an Instructor’s Course organized by the Polish Federation of Far-Eastern Martial Arts, obtaining a title of Motional Recreation Instructor with a specialty of Wu Shu - Kung Fu. Currently a member of the Board of the Polish Hung Gar Kung Fu Association. He participated in many sports competitions of championship rank, achieving high places, including:

 

o      II International Polish Championship, of the Polish Kung Fu/Wu Shu Association in 1994.

      I Polish Vice Champion in Set Sparring

o      Polish Championship 1996

      I place in SANDA in the +90 kg category.

o      Qualifying rounds for the National Team for the European Championship 1996

      I place in SANDA in the +90 kg category.

o      VI Wu Shu European Championship ROME 1996

      European Vice Champion in Sanshou – full contact in the +90 kg category.

o      IV International Polish Championship, of the Polish Kung Fu/Wu Shu Association in 1997.

Mariusz Miętus, born on December 30, 1974. Graduate of the Paweł Włodkowic Higher School of Public Administration in Płock. He has been into martial arts for over 8 years. Many-time participant of competitions of the rank of Polish Championship. Recreation instructor of Kung Fu specialty. Assistant at the Fu Hok Kuen School in Płock.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 


 

Piotr Paśnik, born on January 07, 1979 in Płock. Secondary education. He has been into martial arts since 1993, and has practiced Hung Gar Kuen since 1994. many-time Polish Championship medallist in Free Combat. Member of the Fu Hok Kuen Poland team for competitions of World Championship rank. In 1999 he received a degree of assistant of Hung Gar Kung Fu style from the hands of Si Fu Jacek Świątkowski. He possesses a license of recreation instructor of Kung Fu specialty.
